Trying to decide between a WMLX or a new TLR-1 HL 800. Both are around 150-175 or so.

The Inforce looks a bit more ergonomic.

The Streamlight has a more established reputation.

800 lumens may be a bit much. The Inforce 550 seems a bit more in line. A polymer housing isn't as stout, but it isn't meant to be a hammer either.

A SureFire is a it more than I want to spend, so it'll be an Inforce or Streamlight. What do you guys reckon?

Inforce is great CQB. Need range / throw go with Surefire.

Living on the stix I have found that Inforce is awesome in the barnyard but sucks if you need range . I dohave gone to the Primary Arms lights for when I need range.

Most won't need that function though.

What do you intend to do with it?

Inforce lights are junk.  There have been multiple threads here detailing their issues with the polymer cracking/shattering for no reason what so ever.  I also managed to brick two of their IR model lights by following the directions in one of their videos to change the high/low priority.

Go with the Streamlight.

For now, this. Had 3 WMLX's crack at the same location. Inforce told me they're coming out w/a stronger material soon but as much as I like the WMLX's design, I went w/the Surefire M600U instead.

I bought my TLR1 HL for $123 on Amazon. Great light. I have it on my G19. I wouldn't bother with the WML, lots of issues with cracking and breakages.

Also, Streamlight has been making 800 lumen HL's since Sep 2015.

I have a few inforce lights. One of them is a handheld and it makes an obnoxious high pitched buzzing noise. I called inforce and spoke with a lady that told me that because they have such a high lumen output, some of them buzz and some don't. I asked why it was that my surefire lights that have even more output don't make a peep. She had no answer. I then asked if I could return this defective light to them and get a replacement. I was told no. That is the last Inforce light I ever buy.

Seems the cracking problem is relegated to the fde colors?

I ordered one of the black ones 2 days ago and now I see this thread.

Bought it off Amazon so maybe I have some protection if things go south.

Cracking was most evident on the sand colored version (that color has since been pulled from Inforce's website) but I had a FDE spontaneously crack on me as well. I've seen pics of broken blacks and Inforce recently told me that they're coming out w/a stronger material sometime this spring.

Thus far my Inforce has been flawless and functions perfectly. Time will tell

Mine arrives today.  Supposedly they have a lifetime warranty.  Most haven't had any trouble getting the defective units replaced.

We'll see...

I really like the light weight and the 200 lumens works great for my needs. In a wide open area such as a ranch more lumens may be helpful.

Just took a fantastic low light course.

I prefer the X300 for the combination of spill and throw.  That being said, if that is not on the list, go with the most lumens you can find.  You won't blind yourself, and you'll be amazed at how much more you will see with a well designed and bright light.

Inforce lights are garbage and their CS leaves much to be desired.

I have had 2 WML crack and one of those ate batteries, and a APL that would go through a CR123/week just riding in a holster.

I would stick with Surefire or Streamlight.
