How difficult is it to install a forward assist?  Any special tools required?  It would be installed into a stripped A2 upper.

So easy a cave man could do it!
Seriously, if you can hammer in a small roll pin with a punch and hammer you have the skills needed.

Use pliers. Tape up the pliers jaws and the receiver to help prevent marring the finish.
Insert spring + forward assist. Look down through the roll pin hole to ensure you see daylight with the FA pushed in.

Remove spring and FA. Align the roll pin on either end and use pliers press it in ~1mm... just enough for it to stand there on it's own. Insert spring + FA. Double check pawl orientation.

Press FA in to where you saw daylight earlier and press the rest of the roll pin through the receiver.
