OK, I just bought a Noveske intermediate gas length 18 inch barrel. between second thoughts, im wondering if there are any free float handguards that will align with the gas system, which is 10.5 inches, if im not mistaken. Or should I just forget it and go with a 12 inch FF?

Does it matter to you if it aligns? If it were me I would want it covered up by a 12" FF.

Are you planning on having a standard front sight base or any type of railed gas block? Personally I'd go with a low profile gas block and cover it up. Looks cleaner.

I want access to the GB, I dont care about looks so much. I guess will stick with a 12"

Is intermediate gas system different than midlength? If not there are plenty of midlength FF tubes out there, YHM, VTAC, come to mind but I am sure that there are too many to list.
