I created an account a month or so back looking for AR information. I've made a couple posts here and there but never introduced myself, so I thought I should. I bought my first AR about 10 years ago. It was my lucky timing to look for one during both the AWB and the Y2K "crisis". That weapon was an Olympic Hbar carbine, and for all the grief people give that brand I never had a problem with mine except when I used Wolf ammo. Anyway, what's left of that gun is here now mounted on a CMMG lower. It fell into disuse for a while but since adding a .22LR conversion I've really been using it a lot again. I keep meaning to send the upper to Adco as an Hbar seems like overkill for a .22 soda bottle plinker. I lived in CA at the time and later picked up a 20-inch FAB10 that I no longer have.

This one is a Bushy 16-inch carbine with a fluted Hbar (not sure why I was so into those). It's got the Surefire 500 on it and I recently added a CAA stock. It's nothing too fancy but it's my take on a KISS zombie gun. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff99/featheredmafia/Weapons/ar15_2.jpg While it may not be a "black rifle" my M1A is in fact a rifle that's all black, so I thought I'd include it, too. It's just a Springfield Armory standard model with a Nikon Buckmaster scope, Harris bipod and Specter sling. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff99/featheredmafia/Weapons/m1a.jpg I don't think I'm done yet...I've got a lonesome Stag lower in my gun safe that I think I'm going to use for my first flattop, which I think will be a middy lightweight, probably an RRA. Anyway, hi to all and thanks for the help I've received so far on this site. |
