I was originally going with the 16" 1/7 Midlength Freedom Carbine. But hey what about this build. For $20 bucks more I can get the Premium chrome-lined barrel. Is this a complete rifle, though?
PSA Premium BCG PSA Blem. Lower PSA Magpul MOE LBK PSA Blem. Premium Upper My only concern is that the premium upper won't be on sale tomorrow. I don't know if PSA's 'Daily Deals' last LITERALLY 1 day. But otherwise is that a nice build? |

That is excellent for the price.
Don't forget a charging handle and a rear sight or optic. If you plan upgrading your handguard so you can attach a bunch of stuff to it, then you may want to consider a mid length gas system as opposed to the carbine, you'll get more space to attach things and configure it in a way that best suits you. I am big and lanky at 6'4, and find that the carbine length handguards force me to hold in too close to comfort on my rifles. I prefer mid length if I'm using a vfg, and rifle length if I'm using a clamp hold. |

I just recently built almost the exact same thing. Only diff is its on an 80% lower and a del-Ton barrel (Upper was not on sale)
The rifle runs flawless. I could not be happier. It has had no FTF, FTE and it eats all kind of ammo I can throw at it. I do not run it soaking wet. I use Royal Purple High Temp grease on my BCG and it just purrs. I also use the Royal purple grease on my buffer spring. Makes it MUCH quieter, you don't get that carbine TWANG. Remember patience is a MUST when you order from PSA. You will be rewarded with Excellent Parts and a price you can not beat! I have been very patient watching PSA sales and have been rewarded with fantastic parts and service! I have PSA blem uppers on all 4 of my builds. Also PSA Premium BCG in them all too. I have parts on UPS (LBK, mags) for my wife's build now. I'm building her a 16" lightweight mid-length barrel with Magpul MOE furniture in OD Green (PSA Sale for $119.00) You cant beat the D&H mags either. I am restricted to 10 rounders here in KommieFornia. They work excellent. Good Luck on your build, you will not be sorry. |

One thing to keep in mind with PSA and their "Daily Deals" Pricing, is that they will honor that price for up to 24 hours after the deal is gone, if you call their CS number, and follow the instructions given about sending an email about the Deal and the Price. Make sure you get their SKU number correct! I've done this twice now, and saved myself a lot of money. |

You could order their Father's Day Special M4 upper "On Sale" this weekend for $10.00 LESS than the blem-upper you hot-linked above ($259.00). It's still their "Premium" MPI/HP-tested FN-barreled upper as well, just like their blem, just $10.00 cheaper. Free-shipping too! Take that $10.00 and apply it to their BCG and CH. You could also use their Premium "no logo" BCG and save yourself another $10.00 over the one you've hot-linked above. The two actual BCG's are exactly the same, the only difference is the laser-engraving on the $120.00 example. Just a thought. $20.00 savings total on both. Gotta love PSA. |
