| I heard from a trusted source that a civilian is only allowed to possess at any one point in time 10,000 rounds of ammunition per weapon. If this is true can I have 10K of .223 and 10K of 5.56? |

A badge does not mean they know everything about the law or firearms. But just that they have to enforce it
Its a learn as you go job. Kind of like thinking since a guy was in the military he knows everything about weapons, no. Now he may know everything about the weapons he was issued. But put a 1911 or glock or garand in his hands and he has no idea, same with LEOs. |

I guess what they say about LEOs is true. They don't always know the law, but guess based on better judgement. Isn't that the truth?
Some in this state (VT) I doubt hardly know it at all. My neighbor's co-worker had a cop pull a gun on him when he (cop) saw he was carrying a pistol in a SOB holster as he bent over a little undoing the straps on his motorcycle's saddle bags. Cop told him to take his gun out which he flatly refused to do until the chief of police was called to the scene. |

Fwiw, cops are civilians too... Unless Texas has gone full retard and enacted silly laws preventing "civilians" from owning more than 10k rounds, you are only limited by what you can afford as previously stated. There is currently no Federal law limiting the number of ammo one individual can own. |

That is probably true. For example, there are a lot of truly screwed up places in this world. I would say that is probably true in many countries. I would not be surprised if it were true in some worthless places within the US such as New York, Illinois/Chicago, New Jersey, California, and D.C. |
