Was looking for used mbus sights on the EE, anyways found a dealer that was cheaper than the usual vendors I use. When I went through the google checkout it listed under the order details Alpha Sports Airsoft, LLC. I didn't end up completing that order.

If they are indeed airsoft knock offs and this is a represented dealer on the site that=bad news amirite?

If you don't feel comfortable, don't do it

There should be plenty of site sponsor vendors who have MBUS in stock

Try Bravo Company, Brownells, or AIM surplus

Yeah well it was going to save me a couple bucks until I saw the company was Airsoft. I always stick with rainier/bcm/larue, I should of known better.

ummm, that doesn't seem like an unusually low price to me. Clyde Armory here in Athens, GA has MBUS in stock: $50 for rear, $35 for front

What I don't understand is why the hell do the airsoft versions cost the same as  the real ones???

If I was near Athens I would pick them up there. It actually looks like with shipping Clydes would be just as good. The dealer listed was going to save me $6 compared to bravo co which was the cheaper of the online vendors I usually go through. Not much but I figured why not save what I can when I can.

meh, there's no hurry. I was in there yesterday and they had a couple dozen each of fronts and rears, both black and FDE. Oh, and they also a MOUNTAIN of pmags at pre-obama prices.

I think those are probably legit. The ones to watch out for are the "PTS." That is the Magpul airsoft crap. Look here. Compare that pictured box to this. The latter matches the picture in the link you provided.

Verdict: unless he's selling something different than pictured, I would say it's legit.

ETA: whether or not the prices he's charging are low is a different question altogether.

That's a good price?  That's essentially MSRP.  Everybody is selling them for basically the same rate.

If what you get is what's in the picture, those are real, and that's just about MSRP on them. I bought my first set from www.aimsurplus.com and my second set a few weeks ago at a show in Kansas City, paid $15 less at KC and they're the real deal. If you look close you can find them for $80.00 shipped. Just look for model number MAG245 (Front) and MAG246 (rear). Some guys sell them as air soft because they can't sell them as a weapons accessory on e-bay.
