I've tried searching and looking here with no luck. Has one been done?
I'm trying to determine the benefit and downside of each of the commonly used sling arrangements - single point, double point and triple point - at a level that a sling newb can comprehend. There's a plethora of attachment methods and products, and it's hard to get context. Thanks! |

Single point sling is a great sling if you are going to be basically shooting most of the time. If you only need a sling to let the carbine dangle while you do some quick task, or to retain the carbine if you are forced to transition to your pistol, the single point is great. It is not so great if you have to walk or run any significant distance with the sling. Unless it is in your hands it tends to bounce around while walking and running. |
