Is there such a thing as a 1-4x scope that has just an ordinary plan jane mil dot retical instead of all these wiz bang CQB solutions? One that doesn't need a battery? It would be nice if I didn't have to take a 2nd out on the house to buy it also.
Thanks, I appreciate your time and valued inputs.

Nightforce.  Not the most called for reticle in a 1-4X so not sure you will see it in many lower priced, mass produced, scopes.

Trijicon Accupoint.  Bushnell 1.25-4x24 w/ German #4.  Nikon Monarch African w/ German #4  Weaver 1-3.

The 1-4x Accupoint is not available with a mil-dot reticle.

Not really much. That would be a very fine reticle to try to use for range estimation with that little magnification.

My bad.  Thought he was asking about a plain reticule, not a milt dot.

As mentioned above a mil-dot would be of very limited utility at 4x, and completely so at 1x.  I've got a 3-12 FFP with a mil-dot and at 3x it is essentially a plain x-hair.

I went with a Leupold 1-4x shotgun scope and had the retical cut to match my rifles load. Gives a 200 yards zero and bullet drops to 500. Ran $270 delivered from the custom shop. The new custom shop web site needs some work, but you can call the order in to get the job done.

And old pic on my rifle..........................

That is not a bad option at all. I like it.

Nice job there.  I didn't realize that you could order a custom retical for any of their scopes.  I might have to look into this...

Leupold makes a 1.5-4 Mark AR that is pretty nice for under $300 (minus mil dot retical.)
