I have a DPMS stainless lower receiver that I bought through my local dist. and i brought it home and assembled it with a DPMS lower parts kit , when i got done i tried to put a mag in and it is very very tight.I went through twenty mags some new some used and only 3 out of 20 would drop free on there own, the rest would barely go in. I tried all 20 mags in a Bushmaster and Colt and they locked in and dropped free easily. They are not hanging up on the mag catch, i took it back out and tried again. Is this common and i will DPMS stand behind there product and make it right?

The answer is going to depend on what kind of mags you are inserting. What are they?

Cheers!

Well if they are USGIs, I would take a caliper and a T-square to them.  Make sure they are within spec for width and depth, and make sure they are square.  Some USGIs are kinda out of square, which makes them wider than they actually are.  Bushies and Colts usually have mag wells that are on the looser end of the spectrum, while other like Oly and DPMS are somewhat tighter, which exacerbates the problem.

Mags used were Cenier, OKAY, Colt, Labelle, Bushy, Most are new or near new. They are rubbing against the front and rear of the mag well.

Is the trigger guard sticking into the mag well?
