Got this scope the other day. Could have sworn this little nub on here was a flat cylinder shape, but maybe im wrong.
Looked online and most seem to be flat. Probably nothing but just want to make sure. Thanks!

The high tech computer or smartphone you posted that from was made in China too. It's not an issue of if something's made in China, it's whether or not it's a business relationship where the importer rides them on QC, which is pretty much Primary Arms's business model. |

I disagree. It has EVERYTHING to do with the fact it's made in China. No dig on the US retailer that purveys the stuff. Maybe for you "new agers" out there it doesn't make a spit of difference, but I avoid made in China anything whenever possible. You want to keep boosting the economy of those jacklegs over, have a nut. As for me personally, I'll continue to try and do my business with US businesses. And I agree - it can be difficult if not impossible at times, but I try. Soapbox dismounted. |

China, Mexico, etc. Buying "American" doesn't mean your money all goes into the U.S. economy. If it's mass produced, chances are a portion of the proceeds go outside this country. And BTW, Primary Arms is an American business.

I hate to see the discussion turn political. This is a technical thread. From a purely technical standpoint, I understand where PA is coming from in exercising quality control standards. I don't really care where an optic is made and I do have ones made in the US, in Austria, Germany, Japan, the Phillipines, and . . . yes, . . . China.
I do worry about the lack of emission standards in China, whether my purchases contribute to the problem, and whether the workers are being paid a fair wage and treated humanely in a communist totalitarian regime that is our enemy in many ways. Yet, these products also provide jobs and feed mouths in the US, too, through companies like PA. It is a tough balancing act. |

There may be exceptions to every rule, but the overwhelming majority of chinese optics are junk. Even the more expensive ones. For me it's not so much trying to keep my money spent on US products, as the majority of optics are made over seas, but getting the most for my money.
These days nothing comes close to the value for the dollar that Japanese optics makers are producing. |
