I want to build an AR 15 from a kit.  Since the upper is already assembled, all I really seem to need a tool for is to assemble my lower with an M4 type stock.  Brownell's has an M4 stock tool for $8 http://www.brownells.com/aspx/ns/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=16882&title=AR-15+M4+STOCK+WRENCH  Is this all I need or do I need one of the more expensive wrenches?  Thanks.

That's all you need.

That works on the ones with castle nuts like the new M4 stocks.  The older style (and some of the newer ones) still use the nut with holes in the middle instead of notches along the edge.  That wrench won't work with those.

This kind will do both equally well:

Everybody has them for varying prices, but they're almost always about 3-5 bucks.

That's the one I use for both, but it's stamped DPMS.
