I'm doing a refinish on an older Colt lower receiver. The exterior is in good shape. The interior has some fair size nicks in it. Will JB Weld adhere to the lower ?
Was going to fill nicks, smooth them out and apply Norells.
Thanks

JB weld will work for your intended purpose if properly applied,
But Why do you care about the Cosmetics of the interior?

Don't really have an issue with the interior but figured if I was going to refinish I would do it all.
Real reason--ANAL- can't help myself.
Thanks

I wouldn't worry about filling in the nicks on the inside of the receiver.

What if the JB Weld only holds for a couple of months? What I mean is, what if a piece broke off while shooting and got stuck in the fire control group?

Similar to a blown primer getting wedged and disabling the rifle.

Why take the chance if its unseen?
