I just finished installing the gas block, and have a couple of questions regarding the adjustment set screw on the gas block.

1. The set screw moves fairly easy. I'm thinking it'll eventually work its way loose over time. What can I use to keep the set screw from moving so freely, but allow me to turn it if necessary?

2. At present I'm going to be shooting reg. ball ammo through it, how should I go about adjusting it? It's installed on a 16" Bushy Upper.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have one, but noticed that no one else knows either.  So, here is a little bit of opinion that might be helpful.  First, didn't the gas block come with any instructions?  To keep the screw from turning freely, use a little blue lock-tite on the thread, let it set for about 15 minutes before you screw it back in.

Adjustment is probably similar to setting up the FAL gas system.  Put one round in the magazine, open up the gas adjustment screw, fire the round.  If the bolt does not lock back, then you need to close the gas screw a bit, may be a full turn.  Repeat this process until you can get the bolt to lock back on empty magazine consistently, then it's good to go.  Or better yet, call John Gangle (JP owner), he's a real nice guy, and a great shooter too!  Good luck.
