I am fond of the pull on JP triggers, years ago I knew several people with 10k+ rounds fired with JPs and no issues, but I recently heard they start doubling around 7-10K rounds.  Any truth to this?

I have one gun with a JP I don't know how many rounds I have shot through the gun.

I am on the second Rifle barrel, so I shot it enough to, smooth out the rifling in one barrel however many rounds that takes.

that the trigger is still very good.

I have 2 JP triggers, but under 2K in each.

No problems so far.

If I have a problem at 7K, I'll take that as a decent enough life span where I would buy another JP no problems.

They are great triggers, IMHO.

It sounds like those doubling triggers need re adjusting, or perhaps a new disco.

in the case of a Doubling JP,,, you could probably get a new disconnector , fit it and be good to go for thousands of more shots.

HaHa,,,, Disco!

I have two sets of their Speed Hammer/Trigger/Spring sets. I bought the first one back in the mid90s for mmy 3-Gun.
It has now been in two different lowers, first a Colt and now a Bushy.

I couldn't begin to know how many rounds it has fired. Cases and cases and cases I know.

Today it still breaks at 2.75 pounds, just like day one.

The other is newer and is in my Bushy Varminter, it breaks at 2.25 pounds, zero creep and almost no o er travel.

IMHO they are "Rock Solid."

This all started as I suggested I intended to replace all my AR triggers with JP triggers sometime in the future.  Someone else popped up they are only target triggers and not to be trusted, I said if they are good enough for 10s of thousands of rounds in 3 gun they are good enough for anything.  Third Guy piped in that they were not good for 10s of thousands of rounds as 10k was the most he had ever gotten out of one.   I  replied that it was not an optic, rail, etc that would see a different level of stress on the battle field than in a competition.  It's a trigger it just needs to survive thousands of pulls.   Anyway thank you for the replies gentlemen.
