Just got this kit from JT and inside the receiver it has some whitish drooping marks,peeling or something . I was wondering what you guys think,if it is cosmetic or flaw in the ANO.I am new here so got to figure how to post pics.http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b169/isanabri/AR15/DSC_1936Small.jpg

Have you tried cleaning it? It just looks like some chemical residue to me.

Seen it before, it is just how the anodizing goes on some times.  It is nothing to be troubled about.

Ok here are some pictures, i hope i did it right.....


From looking at your pics it looks to me as if it just has something on the finish, try using some breakfree to clean it off.

Yes, i cleaned it with break free, scrubbed it with a brass brush it's in the ano, it doesn't  come off.  My concern was that if it  would start to come off . It is fine on the outside.
So i shouldn't worry about it, and by the way anybody knows who makes these receiver with the keyhole brand.

keyhole=cerro forge

quality made uppers, LOTS of dist/manf/makers of ARs use em

i'd call JT and see if they exchange it or whatnot if you wanted to

If its not on the outside of the receiver. Who cares nobody will ever see it. Keyhole uppers are Cerro Forge. They make quality stuff. If your a perfectionists Im sure JT will exchange it.

Good enough guys thanks for the heads up.I'll keep it, if it bothers me to much i can give it a little dura coat on the inside.
