| I am an AK man but am thinking about purchasing an AR. I was told to look at buying a kit from J&T Distributing. I was just wondering if anyone out there bought their kit from this place, any pros or cons from buying it here. My main concern is how long it takes for it to get shipped. Any information is greatly appreciated, thanks. |

Only complaint I recall ever hearing was about their policy on barrels shorter than 16 inches. If you need a barrel for a pistol build, you may have to (from what I've heard) spend a little time on the phone explaining what you intend to use the barrel for. Last spring, they were still telling people at the local gunshow that you had to have a copy of your NFA paperwork to buy an upper shorter than 16 inches. I haven't used their kits, but I haven't had any problems or complaints with their bolt carrier assemblies, stripped lowers (Double Star), and a few other parts. |

I also bought a 20" kit from J&T. It is as nice a kit as they come. In fact I like it better than my bushmaster. Around the time I bought it, some people were talking about missing parts. Mostly small things like roll pins or springs. My kit was missing a roll pin, I called them and they sent it right out. My next build will be J&T again. It looks so cool on my mega lower. xxxx |
