Do any of you have any experience with Jetbeam lights?

I'm looking for a small, single battery EDC light that I can drop in the bottom of my pocket. I've looked at some other recommended EDC lights like the Quark AA and Fenix LD-15 but so far, the Jetbeam has been the closest to what I'm looking for.

Specifically I want something with only 2 modes (high and low) with high being the default mode. I would prefer something with a forward style click tail cap (with momentary on).

I'm looking at the Jetbeam BA10 and BC10. I would prefer the BA10 with it's AA battery power and it's output is more in line with what I want (160lu-Hi, 12lu low) but the BC10 (CR123 powered) is a little smaller?

Anyway - Do any of you have either of these models and can give me some insight on their quality? Any other models you would recommend?

I have carried a IIIM for the past few years on duty; I am however, on my second flashlight - the first one suffered some kind of internal failure and had to be replaced.  They did replace it no questions asked.

I cannot say anything about jetbeam, as I've only handled a few and never owned one.  But I will say that your set of requirements would be well matched by the Surefire E1B Backup.  Had you considered that model by any chance?   I've seen them sell for like-new but used on the EE or CPF for $80-$100

I did consider that model. Matter of fact it was the fist one I looked at. The problem is cost (especially once I add the Z28 tailcap which I feel is needed) and I don't like the UI as much as I do the JetBeams. I also like the idea of a AA model for EDC carry. The only thing holding me back on the Jetbeam is I haven't found a lot people with first hand experience with them? At $40, I don't expect it to have Surefire type reliability but I don't want to spend $40 on a flash light that will break in 3-6 months either

I use mine to bang on doors/security doors, have dropped it, thrown it.... etc.  It has seen a lot of use and abuse.  I would imagine the issue I had was more of an isolated incident.

Can only speak to my experience with a M1X.. incredible throw in a small package.  No problems with it.

I did a review on the Raptor RRT-0 a while back.

Just wanted to follow up with you guys and let you know I went ahead and ordered the Jetbeam BA10 and got it yesterday. So far I'm really liking it. I think the UI is perfect. No useless modes, no "programming" it. If you want high mode (160l for 1h, 15m) tighten the head. If you want low mode (12l for 30h) juts loosen the head slightly - perfect IMO. High easily lights up a room and low gives you more then enough light to navigate in the dark or read a map. The output is a nice clear white too. One one minor grip and that is the cutouts on the tailcap switch. They are there to make it easier\more comfortable to operate the switch (and it is) but those cuts drastically reduce the lights ability to be used in "candle mode" (i.e. stood up on the tailcap). It will work on a hard, flat surface but will fall on any other surface. Not a big deal but something I would change if I could.

Other then that, it's just a waiting game to see how well it holds up? Being my first non-surefire light, I do have my doubts about it's long term durability but if it can hold up to EDC use then I think it will be a real winner!

Never had any problems with my Jetbeam.  Great little EDC light in a small package.  Getting ready to order another only because I lost the first!

I have a jet-1 pro, single AA,I bought 2.5 years ago.I use it many times a day,and carry it every day.Works perfectly. That being said ,I have never strapped it to a gun,and you do have three settings on it that need to be set.I recently ordered another for a spare.
