I saw this product "unveiled" for the first time on another website dedicated to home gunsmithing and decided to pick up a couple for my AR's. Chris Williams (aka: blindhogg) is the designer of this product, and if you've ever seen his work on 1911's then you'll know the quality of which Chris is known for. He is a "perfectionist" when it comes to making chips on his mill and the quality of his new "Jimmy plug" is no exception.

"So, what is a Jimmy plug," you ask? Well, it is best described as a hollow, lightweight magazine filler designed to keep dirt and crud out of the magwell when the weapon is kept empty. Chris designed this primarily for the military in hostile environments -- weather-wise, that is -- but it sure seemed like a great idea to me for when I head out to the desert for some quality "trigger time." As expected, the fit and finish of his product is beyond reproach.

I don't want this thread to turn into advertising "plug" (pun intended) so I'll just mention that if you're interested in one of these you can contact Chris at [email protected] for more details.
