Newbie to the AR, been shooting for two years (handguns mostly). Always wanted and liked the AR, so I brought a used on a week ago. Shot it Monday and love it. Once I get sometime and learn the gun, I'm thinking about build one for comp use. Attached is a pic of the AR and Smith & Wesson Tatical .40cal. Trading the SW in for a Glock 23, cause I shot much better with it (more consistent groupings). Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I'm sure it will get very expensive, already is with the Ammo. But I plan on doing my own reloads the more I shot, maybe in a month or two I'll look more into it. What hobbie isn't expensive, I'm also in R/C Electric & Gas (cars & trucks) total of 5. Gas, spare parts, tires, etc.. Motorcycles, I have a 01 Suzuki 750 w/ all Carbon Fiber body work. And like all men FAST (European) cars, saving for a BMW M3.
