Well I just confirmed my order for a Doublestar Star 15 M4. I saw all the good reviews on several websites and couldn't resist, and for about 650 it will give me some room to customize it and get some ammo. I honestly now understand why this is so addicting, when I was about to order it felt like I took an adrenaline shot. And now I'm just thinking about all the combinations of rails and lights and scopes i can do, and I only bought my first gun a couple months ago (a Springfield 1911). Anyways, I'll post some pics and give you a range report when it comes in.
Also, just one quick question since I'm a noob to some of this. I am looking at either the daniel defense a1.5 or the magpul mbus for the rear sight. Which one would yall prefer and how will those work if I decide to get a red dot/magnifier later on? |

If you want to get a red dot and magnifier later on you want a folding rear sight. As for the MBUS, MAGPUL makes great stuff but in my opinion a sight should be metal,not plastic. Just my 0.02
I follow one rule when buying iron sights: Fixed = LaRue Tactical Folding = Troy The only exception is a GG&G folding rear sight that I bought long ago. |
