From http://www.44mag.com/default.asp, got 2 D&H 30rd and 2 CProd stainless 20rd. These mags seemed to have got pretty good marks from quick searching I did here before pulling the trigger on them. Someone chime in and confirm my purchase? I'm keeping an eye out for Pmags to be in stock somewhere too.

Also wanted to give a heads up to anyone looking for some.

Thanks guys. Do these AR mags wear out, get damaged easily? I see guys buying like 40 - 100 mags - what reason would one need that many mags for? Just because, to sell after BHO bans them forever, or what? Maybe I need to be ordering more than just a few

You should be buying more if funds permit.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best.

I would rather pay a somewhat decent price now than have to try and get them if there was another ban in place. And I have enough for the rest of my life and kids lives should that need arise.

As of now you can always get back what you have in them if needed too.

ETA My current goal is a 100 d&h alone. Pmags I have backed off of and will take my chances that I will be able to pick some up after the rush dies down

Nice selections. I bought 4x of those D&H 30 rounders last night from 44mag.com as well. Can never pass up mags for sale at a good price. Especially just days before the O-man is in office.

I'm also believing there will be a second rush for mags and firearms after inauguration but before the legislation passes. May be able to snag up a few good deals. I still have ZERO PMags.

I can see this forum is not going to be good for my wallet After reading these replies, I went back and ordered 3 more of each and got 5 magpul follwers.

I went to the gun shop and picked up my Double Star DS-4 today after work and the chickie that sold it to me was trying to get me to buy some mags for it. CProducts 30rd with orange followers for $15. I thought hard about it, but dang, I just spent $150 in mags in the last 24hr and hadn't even had the gun in my posession yet

I don't know why you guys think the Obama will be implementing a new AWB on his first day in office.  He can't, he does not have that power.  This rush to buy mags before Jan 20 is nuts and is bordering on hysteria.  In my opinion a worst case scenario gives us a year before this kind of legislation will pass congress and get signed by Obama and not without one hell of a fight from us.  He has much bigger fish to fry on his first months in office.   Please, everyone take a chill pill.

If you're right, I've still got some nice mags for my rifle.   If you're wrong, I've still got some nice mags for my rifle.

When BO says on CSPAN, "Don't stock up", that just makes me want to stock up even more!

amen.  When a politician, especially a successful one, says anything, expect the opposite to be true.

Things can change even without new laws. Last spring I picked up 2 dz glock 17 mags from Natchez for 13.99 ea. Now they're 26.99. Even before the election they were 23.99.

I'm not trying to rain on anyone in particular's parade, but you know there is a percentage of guys on here (arfcom) buying mags before Jan 20 because they think NObama has some kind of executive power to ban AR's and high cap mags etc.  I'm trying to build a rifle and buy a few mags (incidental to the elections and poor timing on my part) and this hysteria is making buying anything (especially Magpul stuff) very difficult.  Unless there are untold thousands of new gun owners breaking into the black rifle game because of the election, at some point everyone should have there fill of 50 pmags per rifle (or whatever).

Anyway, I hope this hysteria levels off a bit by spring and the various mfg's can catch up with backorders.  Hopefully the gouging and out of stock situations will slow down when folks realize the "Big Fight" is a ways off.  I don't trust NObama either but I believe we have at least a year yet.

Yeah, it's amusing to watch these people with OCD buying 50 Pmags for their one and only Bushmaster.
They're spending more on mags than what it cost to buy new rifle.
People should spend their available funds on learning to reload because without ammo, mags are worthless.
