I just got an Anderson Lower in a raffle. This will be my second build. Buffer Tube Questions?
1. Does it really matter if so skool me on buffer tubes. 2. Buy a Lower parts kit then get a different trigger later? (thinking about the Rock River Lower Parts Kit) 3. Who the Hell makes a good armors wrench. Note: Thinking bout getting a stamp for SBR on this build maybe a 10.5" if that helps -TexasToast |

If your looking for a "Carbine Receiver Extension" and want to keep the budget I just picked up some Anderson Milspec Receiver Extensions on Memorial Day for $15each. According to the Anderson Website they are 7075 which makes them the cheapest 7075 Milspec RE's I could find. Otherwise you can find BCM, ALG "True Milspec" and Vltor for around $40each and will be good to go. The PSA "Milspec Dimension" RE's are 6061 (Weaker and Heavier Aluminum)
If your going to buy just a upgraded trigger and want the rest of the LPK to be standard steel Milspec I would look at Red Barn Armory "Build Your Own LPK" They might have the trigger and pistol grip ect you want and if not you can buy just the base kit without some parts (It will be the Takedown Pins, Bolt Catch, Mag Release, Springs and Detents. If your going to buy a upgraded trigger, upgraded selector, Ti Takedown Pins, Upgraded Pistol Grip, Ti or other fancy Bolt Catch, Ti or LW Mag Release Ect than all you need is the springs and detents. Look at the Anderson Arms "Oops Kit". It has all of the Takedown/Pivot Pin Spring/Detets, Safety Spring/Detent, Bolt Catch Spring/Plunger, Extra Trigger Spring set and Trigger Pins. Basically all the small parts that would be in a LPK and can be bought for $10 (Cheaper than parting out with Palmetto State Armory) Armors Wrench depends on what you need. BCM KMR Comes with a Castlenut/KMR Nut wrench to put on your Torque wrench so you dont need to buy one. Other hand guards and other barrel nuts will make your milage vary on this one. |
| In regards to your LPK. You can find some without FCG's and save a little money. However, you can also just buy a standard kit, use the included trigger for now, save money and swap triggers later. If you do that you'll also have a spare trigger. Of course that spare trigger may sprout into a new build later, but I don't claim responsibility. |

I went discount/cheap crap Andersons Buffer Kit.
The spring sounded like a broken toy rattling around in the tube just moving the gun around not firing. I returned it. Went with the Spikes Tactical Buffer Kit- hardly any noise inside at all and im sure it will function the same if not better than andersons. I bought an additional one for my Noveske Infidel build. |

Never invested much in take down pins, except the Noveske marked for my Noveske build :p Selector switch i went with a BAD A.S.S. looks cool. Waiting for my lower to get out of jail to install. |
