A friend of mine is offering me a KAC M4 RAS handguard on a pretty good deal, but I haven't had a chance to look at it yet or anything and examine the AR it's going on.  I want to put it on an M&P15OR –– anybody know off the top of their heads (as I'm not familiar with how the handguard is installed) if I can use the existing gas block, or am I going to need a low-profile block?

If you are talking about the RAS (most likely) it is a direct replacement to your stock handguards, only a allen wrench is needed to tighten up the top handgaurd.  If you talking about the RIS (free float system) you will need to do all sorts of other work

Yeah, meant to mention that it's the RAS.  Forgot to edit before leaving work.
