After having the rifle for an exceeding long time, I finally acquired the suppressor for it.  While the SN does not match the rifle, the locking collar of the suppressor is tight and there is no perceivable play in the suppressor while attached; KAC once told me if I did not get the suppressor matched to the rifle it may not fit.  Next is the POI testing and having some quiet fun at the range!

I got to shoot the XM110 prototypes which are set up the same way.  You are going to be REALLY happy with that rig.  Congrats.

How long did it take to get the suppressor? I have a late 90s model SR25 that I am going to have a URX installed, and then order the SASS suppressor with barrel, if I can. If they actually accept the order, I'm hoping it can be filled within 3 years.

Congrats you yours.

3.5 Years of searching!  KAC was of no help; they went as far to tell me a non-matched suppressor will most likely not fit and didn't want any part of having my rifle at their factory to match a suppressor to it and wouldn't sell me one that wasn't matched.  Maybe things will turn around if they ever finish up all these military contracts....  I lucked out and managed to find one at Knesek's Guns earlier this year, so I was able to bypass KAC on this one.

Wow, that's rather discouraging. I'm sometimes amazed at their complete lack of support for the rifles they sold in good faith to the public. If you are busy, and don't have time to spend producing new civilian rifles, I more than understand. But, if you already sold the rifle, at least take my name down and add me to a "we'll get to it later" list.

My rifle does not have the suppressor ready front sight base, so I may be up a creek here. I wanted to purchase a front sight base, a barrel extension, the flash suppressor, and the suppressor itself, and then have GA Precision mount them on an Obermeyer barrel. For some reason, the phrase "snowball's chance in hell" comes to mind. Hope I'm wrong though.

There have been rumors that they are trying to expand to add a civilian line to their factory. I'm not sure if they'll work on the 7.62 lines though. I've heard they will primarily focus on 5.56.

Is that an ARMS #32 you're using to mount the Harris Bipod?

No, that would be the standard KAC Bi-Pod mount.  Have a few LaRues on other rifles, but kept this one on for now - probably will be replaced in the future with a LaRue.
