In looking at various options for an M4 upper, I came across KAC's RAS II. It comes complete with 4 rail covers and a vertical grip for the price of their M4 RAS seconds (that only come with 3 rail covers). What's the deal - is that lump on the top a deal breaker for everybody?

RASII was an easy way to get Free Float without removing FSB/Barrel nut. You can use a std aimpoint mount on the hump. They are solid and suited a need for the time. There are better options today due to advances in the rail industry, but if the price is right go for it.
