Quick question ref.  KAC RAS installation. Does the 3 sided section go on top or bottom or does it matter? Sorry, don't have my upper yet or instructions as I recieved this in a trade. thanks, Steve.

The three sided section goes on top, it does matter because it has a clamp in the front (to clamp on the front handguard cap) and another clamp in the rear (to clamp on the barrel nut)

On a RAS FF MRE it can be mounted either way, one side is standard, the other is sightly taller.

Great. I had one at one time several years ago and I couldn't remember which way it went. thanks for the fast response.

FWIW you can put the 3-sided section on the bottom. This will make your vert grip much more solid, and if you aren't mounting optics on the top rail, it won't matter that the top rail is the loose one.

The RAS numbers would be upside down, the upside would have B14, B16, etc, the bottom would have T14, T16
