[ARCHIVED THREAD] - KAC RAS question

I noticed on my RAS that there is threaded holes along the rails which I can only assume would be for a sling mount but im unable to find any information about it, is there such a beast?

The treaded holes are 1/4-20.
They were intended for "growth potential."
One thing I have used them for is to support a rifle & night sight combo with a camera tripod for long-term observation purposes. Most camera tripods have a 1/4-20 stud that can be tightened into one of the treaded holes of the bottom rail.

Camera mount was the first thing that I found worked as well.
The second was the screw-on statues from cheap trophies.
