KAC replacement bolt > Rifles, Uppers, Lowers, Barrels, and more

Is there another AR 15 bolt out there that would work as a replacement for the KAC bolt- I know from looking at my KAC bolt that the lugs are rounded , I'm just curious if someone has tried a different bolt in there KAC AR 15 rifle without having problems.

Why not buy a KAC replacement bolt? You have a Ferrari, don't put Ford rims on it.

Standard bolt work also

You will have to do a Web search to find the thread, but I believe KAC has said that you could use a standard bolt in the E3 barrel extension in a pinch, but it's not advisable to use the non-E3 bolt as standard operating procedure.

Guess there is a first for everything.

I believe Knights has said that they have broken them in testing, but after thousands upon thousands of rounds to the point where you need a new barrel anyway.

Thanks guys - I just thought maybe the Sharps bolt or LMT enhanced bolt would make a Good fill in.

KAC chamber needs a KAC bolt.

Sure, standard bolt will work technically but we haven't done enough testing to show how long the standard bolt will last. In a pinch, use one, but don't be surprised if and when it malfunctions.
