I found these guys after searching long and hard for an affordable Boyt/Orvis type soft alternative (I am in no way affiliated with KD). For those of you looking for something a bit classier than the tacticool stuff, check out their website...it took me a long while to find these products.

I just got the 35" shotgun/rifle takedown case in today and it fits my 14.5" pinned AR with a Primary Arms red dot well, although it fits best optic down. Keep in mind that this isn't the intended use of this case - I hope that's obvious. I'd assume that shorter height optics would make for a safer optic-up fit. This specific case will most likely only fit a small swath of the rifles out there but I figured I'd post because of how pleased I am with it. I may, in fact, jump on the full leather version which isn't much more.

The stitching is good and both the canvas and leather is of decent quality. The interior lining is soft and dark and won't show lubricant or dinginess...nor does it seem like it sheds.

Extra storage is minimal, the case bends up awkwardly at both ends because the straps are connected too far fore and aft and the zipper is a bit on the cheap side. I might just modify the strap to connect only to the middle two rings to avoid the bending...I most certainly would for the leather version because it would look like crap after a while with the bending.

Anyway, here are a couple of photos. For $100 bucks, this is a worthwhile deal, IMO.

*EDIT: Shipping was lightning fast and packaging was neat and adequate.
