Hello peeps: I've been looking for a KIES Linear Compensator for a couple of weeks with no luck. I've searched as many vendor sights as I can find and can't seem to find any. I have written the company 2 emails and not received any response, so I'm starting to think maybe I should look elsewhere for a muzzle device I need. Before I give up on them, does anyone out there know where I can get one or what's going on at KIES that they are not answering their emails? |

Yup, I did see that, thanks. How do you suggest it be painted? Quoted:

Joe Bobs has stainless in stock. You could paint it. Yup, I did see that, thanks. How do you suggest it be painted? I would not paint it.....just get the one you want. Paint would look cheap, and wouldn't hold up in the long run IMO. |

I checked out the Claymores, Id be very interested if they offered a smooth tipped version No they don't. I have one on my .308 that I bought before the Fall of Troy. I like it, but I too wish that it did not have the tactical teeth on it. I have considered smithing them the hell off of there. |

Quoted: I used Alumihyde from Brownells on mine. Holds up just fine. http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/Kies_Comp_005.JPG http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/Kies_Comp_004.JPG http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/Kies_Comp_006.JPG Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Joe Bobs has stainless in stock. Quoted: Kies has a great website and a what appears to be a decent line of products but they are impossible to communicate with. They don't answer their phone or respond to email. Good luck buying anything from them. I just went through Kies' contact page again, which states they are: (1) no longer taking phone calls (2) taking only emails and faxes. Since they have not responded to 2 of my emails sent over the last week, I presume the only way to electronically contact them now is through FAX. (3) They are taking care of customer's problems by having the customer first MAIL the problematic product back to KIES accompanied by a LETTER explaining the problem. Seriously, WTF? Has it always been that way? I thought the 80's ended 24 years ago. |

If they don't pick up the phone, I'd go elsewhere, that means they're screwing people, or they owe a lot of money to someone, run away. |

Maybe they have disappeared off the map since there is no way to contact them, their dealer list do not carry them anymore, and JoeBob's, which is the only dealer on their list (from their own website) is the only one that carries their products states that it is out of stock with no ETA. Looks like I'm going to give up on getting their compensator, shame it looked like just the one I need, and I was ready to purchase at least one, and another one (for another rifle) if I liked it. |
