| I want to put a kit together. Can you guys tell me the price range for the kit less stripped lower. I know it depends on the make but I'd just like to know maybe an average price. I found one for a little over $400(Wilson barrel, and vaugely labled govt. contractor upper) but I have a habit of buying stuff without researching and then finding out I paid too much. | I went with an M&A kit recently. (I know all the throat choking jokes...) It ran me 490 Shipped. 16" Car kit using wilson blank and govt (cardinal forge) upper. It looks like a well made kit and I have no complaints about it other than a slightly loose rear sight on the A2 handle, which my research has shown to be normal. Heck my last Air Force range rifle had this pretty bad and I still shot very well. I went with a complete Stag Arms lower from Rainier and sank 185 shipped into that. So for 675 all I have to do is install a stock and pin it together and I still have a spare LPK. |
