Hi guys,
I'm installing a couple Knight's RAS rails, ive done this multiple time with zero issues.  But the 2 I am installing right now are giving me the same issue.
The delta ring doesn't seem to fully seat forward on the rail, causing abnormal movement of the bottom rail.  The top rail feels solid, it's the bottom rail that is loose, and I can actually move the delta ring by twisting the pistol grip from side to side.   As you can see in the pictures, the "hook" is fully seated under the barrel nut.
Any ideas?

It's hard to tell from this picture, but the hook is fully seated under the barrel nut.

that hook thing is the only problem I could think of that would cause that.

try removing the screw and reseating the top rail.

You said the hook is fully seated under the barrel nut, but it looks like the teeth of the barrel nut aren't fitting inside the channel (or groove) cut out for them. Did you try squeezing the two pieces of the RAS together while pulling the top rail toward the buttstock? That might get the barrel nut to seat inside the groove. Otherwise, I'm not sure what's going on.

Yeah, it looks like the teeth are in the groove,
I noticed that is has an IS002 cage code, that's the only difference that I see in the rail.  I wonder what the difference is between these two and others not marked like this.

I think it's actually 1S002. That's just the cage code (as you mentioned) and it is put on newer rails.

Did you try pulling the delta ring over the rail (i.e., toward the muzzle)? I had to do something similar with the old EZ CAR that I had. Good luck. That's a bummer.

The guy that suggested that you remove the screw and try again is probably right. I would put money on it based on my experience.

Yep, I have had to do this and squeez the top rail on pretty hard. I rremember I had an issue on a few of them with the claw. I can't remember if I had to take the screw completely out, or if I had to leave it in a little bit, but it was one or the other.

The top rail feels solid, it's the bottom rail that is real loose making me think that the delta ring is not fully seated forward.  I can actually twist the pistol grip side to side and make the delta ring move a little.  I tried squeezing, taking the screw out, reinstalling 5 times nothing seems to work.  What is weird is that I can get the RAS rails without the ISOO2 cage code marking to fit tight.  It's going on an LMT 10.5 inch upper.

I have one that snaps into place just fine with no problems on my M4, but the one I have on my LMT takes a bit of try to get in. Maybe try installing it on another rifle and installing the one that fits on the LMT.

Every time that I have had to coax a RAS onto a rifle it has been LMT 10.5s. What I have found is that the RAS, especially when new, is a little tight where the tube on top of the claw slides up and down in the top rail. I have usually had to remove the screw and actually pull the claw such that the tube is free from the hole in the handguard then attempt to install the top handguard. I don't know if it is the new RAS or tighter than normal barrel nut on the LMT, but I routinely have to put a little more effort into it than normal. However once I install and remove it a couple of times it goes right on.

OK, here is what I discovered.
The RAS rails marked "cage code ISOO2"  under the top rail would not fit the LMT 10.5 inch uppers, but they DID fit LMT 14.5 inch uppers.
Only the RAS rails without the "IS002" markings would fit the 10.5 inch uppers nice and tight.  So I just switched them around.
I noticed that the handguard cap is different between the LMT 10.5 and the LMT 14.5.  I wonder if this is what is causing some of the rails to not fit.

Here is the handguard cap for the 10.5 inch LMT upper.
