A question,
Can A Law Enforcement Officer add a collapsible stock to a Post Ban rifle legally.
I hate this stupid Pre/Post ban shit.

No, you must begin with a firearm that has been papered as a post ban LE restricted weapon otherwise you would be creating an illegal post ban assault weapon per the letter of the law. Hopefully in a few months this will all expire.

Correct answer: Yes, a LEO can do whatever he wants, because he is the MAN.

Who's gonna arrest the MAN?

IF an officer purchases a firearm with a PO, the dept. owning the firearm can do anything with it they want. I've done it many times, the PO automatically makes it a post ban LE restricted weapon. If its their personal firearm, no - they have to play by the same rules.

The only exception to what Bigbore said is if they want to make it an NFA item.  Cop NFA guns have to get ATF approval like anyone else - just no tax and no 86 cutoff.
