Why are they offering only the semi auto carrier group in the complete CQB MRP™ Defender Piston 16? I see you can order the piston full auto bolt carrier group from their web site. What is going to be the diiferance between the two?I would figure they are priced the same why would you not include the full auto in the rifle instead of making you buy it later?

I think Colt, Bravo Company, Daniel Defense and Noveske are the only makers that sell complete, semi-auto rifles with full-auto bolt carriers installed. All the rest sell them in just their uppers or as a-la-carte items on their websites. It could be those manufacturers want to hit you with an extra $100 for the a-la-carte bolt carrier, or it could be they are concerned some states or even the ATF will harass them even though full-auto carriers are 100% legal in semi-auto rifles.

Has anyone called and asked LMT if they could simply replace the S/A with a F/A carrier for the rifle they order?  I have not, and wonder what the response might be.  They seem very reasonable with other things.
