I thought it was either Military Moron or Defense Review that posted a "how to" to modify your LMT Front Sight that will allow you to remove that huge cross bolt KNOB on the side of the sight.
I searched their websites, couldn't find anything. Anyone have a link? |

I've been following your thread and followed MM's link.
Go to http://www.mcmaster.com/ and search part #91581A345. Take off the big nut that come with the LMT, replace it with this, then dremel off the excess threads. |

I did this on mine with the suggested McMaster part #. Works great. The thumb screw is a bitch to get off. You will probably need to use a vise. I used a tap and die set to fix the threads after dremeling the excess off. Chromeluv, PM sent your way. |
