How accurate do these tend to be in DI?  Would a Knights SR-15 mod 2 or a Daniel Defense produce better groups?

My MRP barrels all seem pretty accurate for chrome lined barrels.  I can't compare them to any KAC barrels/rifles, but my MRP's have been more accurate than the Daniel Defense barrels I've had *with the ammo I typically use in them*.  However, results can vary widely based on ammo and other factors.  I think MRP barrels are known for being really good barrels with good accuracy.

One thing about the MRP barrels is they are kind of a heavy profile compared to the SR-15 barrels and the barrels in DD rifles that I'm familiar with.  That will tend to have a positive effect on retaining accuracy over a string of fire if it's enough to heat up the barrels much at all.

Here's an example of what mine typically do at 50yds for what it's worth:

That's not a cherry picked group of groups, it's the only time I sat down and shot five groups of five at once.  Bulk 55gr SP reloads off my Hornady LNL AP, nothing special.  Optic was a 4moa Aimpoint micro.  I don't usually have magnification on my MRP's but the couple times I've shot them at 100yds with scopes they seemed to be doing 1" groups of five.

ETA:  You really can't go wrong with any of those you're asking about.  I'm a big fan of the MRP stuff so I have a few chassis and a bunch of barrels.  But I'd have no qualms about an SR-15 or a DD rifle either.

OP, there are a lot of threads on how very accurate the LMT MRP 5.56 and 308MWS rifles are and how they have been adopted by the British Army and other countries (New Zealand etc.) as a DMR rifle (.308) and infantry rifle (5.56).
Probably why too many aren't responding because it's been discussed so much.
Buy it, you won't regret it.

Funny, I tried searching and didn't come up with anything...
