Does anyone know if you can use a 14.5" barrel in the Rifle length Upper? Suppose I wanted an MRP with both a 14.5" and an 18" barrel.  Would I have to have two uppers?

No you do not need two uppers, the MRP is specifically designed to allow the swap out of barrels.  To swap out barrels, just unfasten the two bolts on the side of the upper remove barrel (slide it straight out), insert new barrel (slide it straight in), and tighten and torque the two bolts to 140 IN/LB.

Takes about 2-3 minutes.

Yes, you can use the 14.5" barrel with the rifle-length MRP.

So, I assume I could use the 10.5" barrel in the Rifle Length upper?  Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse, but it seems like they'd have one upper if this were possible.

Also- Any news on the MRP Piston?

Never tried the 10.5" in the rifle length upper, not sure why I'd want to.
Her is the 14.5" setup with a permanent Phantom.

A 10.5" barrel will be well inside the hand guard, you'd be hard pressed to find anything that will fit inside the MRP, its diameter is rather small.  Maybe a .22 suppressor, but you wouldn't want to use a .22 can on a .223 weapon.

Below is a pic I took to show three different rail panels.  On the left is a TandoDown panel, bottom is KAC, right is TangoDown's SCAR rail panel.  Anyway, you can see for yourself, there isn't a lot of room inside the hand guard.

Another view.

Maybe Noveske's flaming pig brake/flash suppressor would fit, I haven't tried it, but it'd look kind of silly, I don't care for the MP5SD looks on an AR.

ETA: I don't believe the Noveske piggy brake will fit.

The rifle length is for people who want a longer rail. You are better off going with the CQB because the piston is not available for the Rifle.

That, is, awesome.

One of the sexiest rifles I've seen.
