Just picked up my new LMT lower and when I got it home and mated up with my upper, I noticed the trigger isn't working quite right.  It is a 2 stage LMT trigger, factory installed.  It is not releasing properly, as if it can't travel far enough.  It will release everytime but you have to give an extra tug at the end of the travel.

Has anyone else seen this problem?  I've already contacted my dealer and am waiting to hear back but was wondering if this should be an easy fix.

I've had the problem with an LMT and a RRA trigger, both 2-stage.

After scratching my head for quite some time I found out that my Lower's trigger opening was at the bottom of the specs and the triggers we at the top of the specs width wise(many match triggers are especially the actual trigger blade to give more contact with your finger). This combo led to the sides of the trigger where it exits the lower and the lower its self rubbing together and causing a problem similar to what you're describing.

I ended up sending my lower to the manufacturer (Sabre Defence) and they polished up the trigger opening enough to get everything working right.

Dry fire the trigger a bunch of times and then pull it from your lower and see if you can see anywhere where it's rubbing. If it is, either polish up the trigger opening in your lower and aluma-black it if the bare metal bothers you.  Or try another brand of trigger, but I warn you I did and the other trigger (RRA) had the same problem

I was able to take a closer look tonight.  I took the safety out and everything worked fine (other than a lot of overtravel).  It looks like it may just be hitting on the safety.  I guess I could remove a little material from the flat of the safety.  Or try a new safety. Anyone else experienced this?

Give LMT a call before you do anything (not to void the warranty), but the area you will adjust once you have there approval will be the top/back of the trigger instead.

Problem solved.

I moved my RRA 2 stage to my LMT and my LMT 2 stage to my RRA.  No metal shaved and everything works perfectly.

Weird.
