LMT is top notch. Some have reported (including myself) that LMTs will not run the under powered Russian ammo due to their gas ports being under sized. I don't have an issue with this since I only experimented with Wolf one time.

Is Wolf the only thing that can be a problem?

Prolly wanna add Tula & other underpowered foreign manufacture ammo to the list. Shoot good American full power ammo through it & you'll be fine.

My D2000 (16inch) has only shot wolf ammo, 1k worth I guessing? Never ever, ever, never had any issues.

I bought a pair of 16" LMT M4 complete upper halves right after the AWB sunset. LMT was cranking them out so fast back then that they skipped the logo and RAS markings on the rail. That said, both uppers have been utterly perfect over the years-with all kinds of ammo

In 2009 I bought two more, and they have been perfect too. My primary training carbine for class is built around one of my older LMT uppers. It has seen a lot of use, but aside from cosmetic finish wear you'd think it was brand new. I could take anything from my collection to class, and I take the LMT for it's hell and back reliability. Training is expensive, and I want to my time there to be spent learning-not unfucking my weapon.

Here's a pic from back when my first LMTs were still shiny and new (bottom carbine):

In addition to Wolf, my LMT upper doesn't like silver bear either (though stoppages are slightly less frequent).

I go to the range with my buddy once a week.  We both have LMT's.
He runs Wolf every single time.  No issues.  I don't run it because I like to run high quality stuff.  But he doesn't care.
He has yet to have an issue.

I can't speak to 16" but my LMT 14.5" has eaten everything w/o a single failure. I routinely run Wolf black box and Silver Bear 62gr and have run a bunch of Prvi M855, reloaded bulk 55gr, Prvi 75gr, Fed 55gr. I agree that the gas port is probably slightly undersized because while shooting Wolf or Silver Bear my gun is very soft shooting, to the degree that my gf can hit nice double taps.

sheesh - that sucks - there is nothing wrong with Wolf .223 - I shoot it all the time in my RRA - shoots fine and is damn cheap!  That sucks that LMT has a problem with it.

Obviously not all LMTs will choke on Wolf, but I've heard a lot of reports of them not running with lower powered ammo. Mine is a 14.5 & I had to hand cycle the few rounds of Wolf that I ran through it. It cycled fine through my other ARs, though.

I own a 14.5 and 16 LMTs and the only issue I have had is one box of 75 grain wolf had cases that we out of spec and would jam.  I've run about 1000 rounds of 62 and 55 grain stuff with no issues.  Also the other 200 rounds of 75 I have shot had no issues.
