I'm kinda new to posting on the forum and to AR-15's in general, and I'm looking to build one for myself.
I didn't come here to start some hot debate between fanboys and I don't need anyone getting butthurt.

I'm going with a 20" flattop PSA upper, A2 stock, an Armalite lower and I'm considering my various options for a LPK (I'm hoping for something worthy of posting in the M16A4 clone thread). Looking around I see that for just the standard Mil-Spec kits, around $60 is DPMS, CMMG, PSA and it goes up from there with Stag and Daniel Defense, etc. Now I don't need or have the money to spend on some super-slick, high speed low drag kit, but I don't want to put total garbage in my rifle either. I get the impression around here that most LPK work well enough, but are there any out there that I'd generally be better off avoiding? Thanks.

ETA: Would this have been better posted in the BIY thread?

I would spend the money on the daniel defense lpk myself. I had one in my old bcm 16" carbine and really liked it. I miss it compared to the psa lpk I have now.
