Ok.. Just got a new lower and I'm trying to decide what LPK to go with..

A big part of me thinks these are all made by 2 or 3 companies and rebadged out to everyone else and they sell it as their own..

I'm looking at Spikes but am open to suggestions..

Anyone?

I am kinda interested in the SS ones AIM has been carrying, but Spikes is certainly a good choice.

i just put a stag in and am pleased with it.  it came with an extra detent which comes in handy when that sucker shoots about 15 feet down the hall.

- got it in one! almost all LPKs you see for sale out there are the same parts repackaged with a different name on them and prices adjusted accordingly to that name. I have been looking around to buy in bulk for a company I am looking at starting, so I have gone strait to the sorces and they pretty much confirmed that to me. If you all think they are different then keep buying what you want, but I just buy the cheapest mill spec and go from there.

I went with the Spikes from AIM. Good price and free shipping sealed the deal for me. The kit has all the correct parts....and 4 extra springs. I'm sure it wasen't on purpose. My gut feeling is a person sitting in front of bins of parts filling little bags all day long. After a few hours...being exact goes out the window. 1 of bin A, 2 of bin B, a pinch of bin C.....

From thei LWRC website-

"each hammer and trigger casting is x-ray inspected for inclusions prior to machining"

Even if a lot of the companies get their parts from the same place, they do not all have the same QC practices.  The difference in fit and finish and function between some LPK's is easily apparent.  I've been pleased with both DD and LWRC LPK's.  I've not been so lucky with others.

Same here, AIM has always been my first place to check for parts.  I ordered the regular Spikes LPK and received a couple extra springs and detent which saved my butt after launching the pivot detent into carpet oblivion.  Spikes' reasons for the extra parts may be intentional to keep the calls down from part launchers like me

x2, very nice kit at a good price. Much smoother than my DPMS LPK was.  I also like that it includes the MOE enhanced trigger guard. I have also heard great things about Spikes LPK but have no first hand experience.

Is the larger MOE Trigger guard the only thing that justifies the price? Looks like if you remove that, the DD and Spikes are neck and neck in price..
