| Has anyone heard of this company? LUCID Optics. WWW mylucidgear.com. It looks like it is a new upstart company. The site says it is being offered on the DPMS website. I checked and it is. It kind of looks like an ACOG, Price says 229. |

I'll bet over half of the crap in your house is made in china.
What is the point? This product might be made in China, but it is sold by a guy in WY. So he pays taxes in what currency again? Perhaps if so many people didn't have such an entitlement attitude and looking for a hand out from the SEIU we could get some decent stuff made here at a reasonable price. I will not begrudge any one for having to go offshore to make a product at a price point that will sell here because some tards in office think they know better, even though they have never had to make payroll or stay on or under budget once in their lives. Tax tax tax it all comes from the money tree right? Grow up and leave the editorial content for GD. Sorry rant off

He posted in a GD thread about it.
The quality control is VERY strict. Although it is Chinese made, the material quality and build quality is good because they keep a very strict eye on the production quality. A lot of chinese stuff gets a bad wrap because they basically ignore quality control for the material and manufacturing. They CAN make good quality stuff IF quality control is kept very strict with it. |

No, it is called having an open mind. I am going to get one and do an UNBIASED review of one + - and everything. IME the Chinese are great mimics but not so great on the innovation end. If they are given a set of specs and are held to them they can make it well and make it for low cost, unfortunately most people only care about price so they have lots of craptastic stuff at Harbor Freight for sale and the price point reflects it as do the resultant hit or miss quality issues. Is your computer you read/post Arfcom have the majority of its components made in the good ole USA or China? Most guys that have the Primary Arms sights seem to like them, as well as the Vortex Strikefire. |
