GunBroker is pretty good about weeding out illegitimate sellers... Feedback is key... Ive used it for over 150 transactions without any major issues... BUT what your describing does sound sketchy. I wouldn't send anything unless his info checked out... An old saying goes something like "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is"

That or find an FFL with a good rep near the seller. See if the seller will agree to have it take possession first.
Once FFL confirms receipt, send payment (if you're really nervous, send payment to the FFL too), FFL ships. Might cost you a few extra dollars but it's cheap insurance. |
