The follower return seems sluggish to me compared to any other AR mags I have. They have not given me any issues but I would think a full auto would outrun the mag.

Up until today which was only high 30s I had only used the Lancers in warm weather but I noticed today they seemed sluggish. As in if my rifle was dry instead of lubed a little then I would have had issues chambering the first round. I loaded 20 rounds in a Lancer, Pmag, Okay, Hex mag, Troy, and a D&H. When I depress the rounds with my finger and release the others snap the rounds back to the top quick except the Lancers. They have a sluggish return back to the top.

Like I said they have been 100% but I'm not sure if I trust them as anything but a range mag.

Any thoughts or similar experience?

I've never had any trouble with Lancer mags.

I don't like the rattle in the mag well...it seems looser than pmags

I would suggest you disassemble the mag, and thoroughly spray the follower and spring with a "DriFilm" lubricant.

Allow it to completely dry, then reassemble.

I have found the plastic used in the mag body can be "sticky" ( ? ) ( maybe squeaky clean ? ) and the drifilm lube clears that all up.

They feel the same to me or at least not enough difference for me to care.

You know that may be all it takes. The spring/follower to mag fit in the Lancer does appear to have very little wiggle room. Pmags and my OKays have a little more room.

Like I said they have not caused any issues to date but I hear the Lancers being touted as the "best" mags around so they really shouldn't need any tweaking IMO.

Not a fan of 'em.
They rattle in the magwell of my Daniel Defense MK12, not a tight fit like PMAG M3, ETS, and USGI.
Won't seat with any more than 27 rounds on a closed bolt.
At the range this weekend, had FTFs almost 1 out of 10 shots with Lancer mags and MK262 Ammo.  Switched to a Gen M3 PMAG, no issues.

Huh, Lancers have a nice solid fit in my Colts and my cousin's Knights rifles, and both the L5s and L7s seat fine with 30 and 20 in the AR-15A2/SR-15 and LE901/SR-25 respectively. They even seat solidly in the 901 with the 5.56 conversion kit and a Colt 5.56 upper on the 901 lower. Pretty much the same as the PMAGs. Won't seat with more than 27 sounds like you got some oddball out of spec magazines. Are they Lancer's old model ones or the current AWMs?
