I have read alot of Lancer L5 AWM magazines and they look pretty good with the design and durability. But I have heard that the black polymer mags are inherently stronger than their translucent counterparts.

Anyone know how true this is?

I found this video enlightening;

I expect this will be moved to the Magazines sub-forum, but in the meantime FWIW ...

I recently purchased a Lancer and an ETS for comparison (both translucent, the ETS is a darker tint), as I liked the idea of the metal feed lips on the Lancer but the ETS reviews were saying they can really take abuse.

I'm going with the ETS mags in the future.  They come with dust covers that push the top round down to remove pressure on the lips when stored full, they're lower priced (I bought mine during a buy-5-or-more discount sale at Botach), and they appear at this point to be at least as durable as anything else out there.
