What are the options for mating a large pin upper with a small pin lower?

Any ideas?

A conversion pin will work. I've used one in the past, but didn't care for it because it would sometimes unscrew itself due to recoil.  Loc-tite cured that, but I was always eyeballing the pin to make sure the loc-tite was holding. Also, make sure the pin doesn't rotate when the receivers are pivoted open.

Another option is to have someone return the upper receiver to original small hole specs. Don't know what that would cost though.

Ummmm; sounds like you're thinking about a large pin LOWER being used w/a small pin UPPER.

Re the question the Rev asked, Bushmaster makes a conversion pin for the reverse situation. Never used it so can't comment on how well it works, but saw it shown on their website last week, so it's still a stock item,

Let us know how it works

BTW, the conversion pin that gregw referred you to, sold by CDNN, is one that does NOT either unscrew itself or rotate out of position when you open the action. The piece sold by Bushmaster and others does both, but that's not what you're after anyway
