I am looking to get 2 larue mounts, one for my Daniel defense 5.56 which I am planning on putting a vortex pst 1-4x on it. The second is for my lar-8 rra 7.62 which I am planning on putting the new primary arms 1-6x scope on.

Both mounts should be the quick detach models.

Which mount model(s) do I need? Please advise

Just wanted to ask why you were going to put the 1-6 on the 308 rifle? That reticle is made for the 5.56/5.45 round. The 308 based reticle is still probably 6 months off.

The 104 for the 5.56 and either the 104 or 158 for the 7.62. The built in MOA cant would be nice on the 7.62.

Thanks for the response. I thought the 308 rec would be available from the get go, but I guess not.

For the 104 on the 556, Will it work with troy folding buis? Meaning, will the scope be up high up enough or do I need a higher mount?

The Larue 104 works on my 556 with Troys

I run a LT 104 with a Trijicon 1-4, Troy's fit no problems

I run a LT 158 with a Vortex PST 4-16 FFP on my MATEN and troys fit under it also.

The PST 1-4X has almost 4" of eye relief, so I would suggest the LT-139 for the longer eye relief.  The LAR-8 has more rail space so the LT-104 should work fine even if you shoot nose to charging handle.
