| Green Lasers are just like the Aimpoint scopes. All the items will look the same but are not the same. Currently Aimpoint replicas are made by 4 different companies in China, Two in Hong Kong, one in Korean and also produced in other countries. The same with the Green lasers. It will always become a crap shoot when ordering from E-bay because everyone in Hong Kong and China is selling them. This is the reason that one persons opinion about the product is great and the other opinion said the product sucks. When I got into selling them at the gun shows it took me between 6 to 12 months of ordering from different supplies and manufacturers to find the ones that work well and are consistant. I have a supplier that sells me the green laser and another for the aimpoint scope. Yes, I also have another for the tactical flashlights but that is another discussion. Since I purchase a volumn when ordering, I have one company warn me about different products which have a history of failure. Their comment was that the green laser to stay way from had issues with early burn out. No distributor wants to lose a customer because of a bad sale. Now for the wattage. ALL lasers that are sold in china will be 5mW, 10mW, and 20mW. Forget what any of the sellers say these are the major wattage no others exist in the weapon sight. By the way, 95% will be rated at <5mW(no matter what the seller advertises). I have been able to see a major difference between the 5mW and 10 mW. Althrough 35mW lasers exist none are sold on E-bay (Not real ones) so forget the hype. Now for the bad news - I can not give you an exact way of telling from an ad which is the good quality and which isn't - Sorry. Manufacturers will not sell one or two units - I have to purchase 50 to 100 on each order to be able to get what I want. My suggestion is to buy at the gun shows or internet E-company(in US) where you can go back and see the vendor about an issue. Now most of the companies I deal with will sell a warrenty with the product (an additional $5.00) The problem is that the warrenty will need you to send the item back to the factory (china) for repair. Now you have more money into shipping (both ways) than the scope or laser was purchased for. I was originally going to add warrenties to my products but decided not to for this reason. If a manufacturer is willing to add a warrenty, this is a good sign about the quality of the product. So buyers beware. there are great products that can be purchased with great cost saving. Once you find a great product and vendor stay with them when purchasing, this will help you always get a better product. |
