Hi all.  I’ve been following the forums for quite sometime now, but rarely post. Not exactly new to rifles, or AR’s in particular, but I still appreciate the information and seeing everyone’s AR’s, so I thought I would share my current build with you.

Noveseke 16” RECON
AAC Blackout
DD 12” Lite Rail
Vltor MUR-1A
BCM auto BCG, Ion Bonded
Noveske stripped lower
G&R Tactical LPK
Magpul trigger guard, CTR, & ASAP
Houge grip
Troy BUIS ( on order )

Temporary optic:  10x42 mil-dot, 30mm tube

Changes contemplated:
Change out CTR with LMT SOPMOD  ( normally use SOPMOD, CTR was just to try something different)
Change out Magpul ASAP with Noveske QD receiver plate
Change Gear Sector HK loop for Gear Sector QD mount

Took it to the range today for first chance to ring her out, she was short stroking so I removed the “blue” Tactical Springs buffer spring and H buffer and swapped in a standard carbine buffer and lighter spring, problem solved. She ran flawless.  Sorry no photos of targets, but they were not particularly impressive anyway, ( shooters fault not the carbine ).  6 shot group ( I know I know, 6-shot?, I was working through the possible causes of the short stroking and did not keep count) was 1 and 1/16” at 100 yards ( just over 1 MOA ).   Based on my experience I have every confidence this little barrel will easily do sub-moa when I do my part, ( I’ll try to provide proof next time )

Apologies for the poor photo (Stickman is safe)

I think its very pretty, I like the way the rail just goes on forever it seems with this combo of receiver and forend. I say great job as is. I like the HK loop personally but I can see how the QD would be faster. Congrats!

Pretty? PRETTY!?

Haha just busting your balls... or...eh... your............

Badass looking rifle there. I was never a big fan of the Foliage Green (I think that is what it is right?), but that actually looks darn good.

Congrats on a job well done!!

Nice looking rifle.

The "H" buffer is fine. The heavier buffer spring was probably the problem. Also don't use the "O" ring under your extractor. The the spring that comes with it is plenty.

Oh almost forgot. Gun looks great and other than a lower power scope. I wouldn't change a thing.

Thank-you all.

The furniture is actually OD.

Thanks for the buffer advice.  When I swapped them out, I was in a hurry and just took a spring/buffer combo I knew should work, hoping that was the problem and not misalignment of the gas port and block.  Next time I am at the range I will swap just the buffer back and see how it runs.

I agree about the O-ring's, the new bolts are strong and don't seem really need them.  I will hold on to it for possible future use in one of my guns.

Oh, and the scope was "borrowed" from my FN, just to test the gun out until I save the $ for a dedicated optic.  Thinking about the Nightforce NXS 2.5-10 x 32, anyone have a suggestion or opinion?

I'm pretty partial to NF... but for that rifle, I don't think I'd want that magnification.

1-4x24mm with either the NP-1 or Mildot reticle would be more ideal. Assuming the gun shoots, you should be able to use it out to 500yds pretty easily with that

Thanks, I'll look into it.

doing something very similar myself, and the thought/possibility of sub moa makes me very excited.....
